Angry problem installing Sagem800 usb

I have a new iMac 20" desktop Mac OS X version 10.5.1 , to connect to internet I should use Sagem F@st 800/840 USB modem. To install the modem on my computer using the disk for Mac X I get an error message that the installation cannot be completed because the internet connect.app file is not found. I spent close to 10 days searching the internet for a solution without any success, I contacted my IPS provider and could not get any help I was told I am the only one in town using iMac, I tried to download the application from the internet ,not possible. I know I am not the only one with this problem, but I can't believe that there is no solution. I am using my neighbor wireless internet for few days until this problem is solved. Can anyone help me . Your help is very appreciated. thanks a lot

thanks for you reply but i had visited and read the site when i was searching the internet. I downloaded Sagem driver but faced the same problem, the installation could not be completed because the internet connect .app file was not found. MacOsX.5 does not include this file and the Sagem driver cannot be installed without this file.

DeltaMac will become famous soon enough
If that installer/setup software requires the Internet Connect app, and won't finish without it, then you can't get your Sagem to work with that installer, and you will need to complete with some sort of manual setup. Much of the Internet Connect functions are included as part of the Network preference pane, so you just need to know what the manual settings are to get it all to work. Your ISP should be able to help you with that. You can't be the only Mac user that has this problem! (The outdated installer is a Sagem problem, not yours) This is pretty simplistic, but Sagem provides a Mac setup, so they must have some information about when the installer will be updated.

OTOH, I would suggest that the USB modem is not the best way to connect on a Mac. Does your ISP offer an Ethernet-type of modem instead of the USB? That would be more stable for you, as well as much simpler to set up (no drivers needed)
