| HELP with Quicktime740 Tiger I just installed Quicktime740 Tiger to my computer and after restarting, I can not find it anywhere on my computer but the download option is still on my desktop. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Last edited by Wantofasmile; January 29th, 2008 at 04:37 PM. Reason: no response |

| Well how did you download it, through software or a manual download? If it lis on you desktop then it might be disk image (looks like a mounted disk but is white in color) or a zip file. So double click in and see if it opens a disk image to show you the install package.

| I downloaded it through apple. When I click on the icon on my desktop it opens to Quicktime740_Tiger.pkg. But I've already downloaded it, |

| If you have the .pkg file, that's the installer. You then run that to install Quicktime. If you already did that, and the installer asked to to restart, then you should be OK. Check for the version of your QuickTime player, which will be in your Applications folder.

| Thanks DeltaMac! The reason I was confused - and still am is because I'm trying to transfer a video onto my ipod, but to do so, I need to export it first. I thought that by downloading the newest version of quick time I would be able to do so, but it's now telling me to get Quicktime 7 pro. Any ideas? |

| You have to pay for Quicktime Pro, what kind of file is it that you have?

| It's an mpeg. Are there vids that you can transfer onto your ipod that doesn't require Quicktime Pro? Last edited by Wantofasmile; January 30th, 2008 at 09:17 PM. Reason: mistake |

| Quicktime Pro is one way to do that, but that will cost you $30. You already have your Quicktime software. All you need to do is purchase the Pro license. Most do it with other software. iSquint is good, and free, too! http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/28250
