extracting cd audio and dvd tracks into

hi, i was wondering if there is any free or cheap software for extracting cd audio tracks and dvd clips (from commercial dvd movies), and making them to be able to import into iMovie.

For audio, there's iTunes.
For DVD clips, you could use Handbrake.
