| Copying Music form 3G Ipod to ext HD Hello, I just had my third and final, I hope, itunes library malfunction. As soon as iTunes loaded there was a sign saying that the library file was corrupted. So now I have a 3 generation 40 gb iPod with over 37 gbs of music that I don't want to loose. Last summer I bought an external 1TB La Cie Drive in order to back up my information, but so far I haven't used at all. About 3 years ago I used iPod Rip to transfer music from my iPod to my mac. But I erased that version of iPod Rip and last month I Downloaded one I found in Aquisition (version 3.9.1) but it doesn't recognize my very old iPod. So what I would like you guys to tell what good ripping program could work for me in order to move my music from my very old iPod to my external hard drive Thanks for your help |

| You don't have to pay to do this, you can try Senuti.

| You can also just copy all the music files off the iPod into a directory on your computer, and then reimport them into iTunes. I wrote a Perl script that does just that, HERE. It's saved my butt a couple times.
