 pdf not loading in firefox or safari HI all. Yesterday my pdf's stopped loading. I have an iBook G4, OS 10.3.9. I use firefox, but tried it also in safari and neither work. An error message occurs, error code1712-AppleEvent timed out. I tried deleting all downloads and emptying the trash, but I am unable to delete one file from yesterday (tax forms). It says the file is still in use, but I can't find it. Any help would be great! thanks!  |

| Have you quit Acrobat or whichever app you used to open it? A restart might break the phantom connection to the file. Click on a pdf file and Get Info on that file. Make sure Open With says Acrobat rather than being blank. Are you loading pdfs from someone's website or just trying to open pdfs from your computer within your browsers?
