Question about resetting the master password in Tiger

Hi! I'm NOT looking for help in resetting the master password as I know I need the OS X install disc to do that. My question is: must I have the install disc for the Mac-mini I'm having password problems with or will ANY Tiger install disc do the trick?

Thanks!

Peace...

I'm pretty sure you could use any tiger install disc. The ones that are hardware keyed only check when you try to run the installer; the password reset option should still be available.

Of course, since I only really have the retail discs, I have no way of checking that for you.

Thanks! We found the install disc that came with the Mac-mini so we were able to reset the password just fine.

Peace...
