| Closest alternative for Internet Explorer? I'm trying to take courses on microsoft's site and it doesn't work so well on my mac since they built the site to work on internet explorer specifically. What is the closest alternative to internet explorer?

| I would try using Firefox. There's an addon that can fool sites and make them think you have IE.

| The name of the add-on is called User Agent Switcher. I've used it many times before with much success. The only time it would not work is if the MS site requires ActiveX in order to function. If this is the case, then you'll HAVE to use Windows. THankfully, you can do so with either VirtualPC or Q on PowerPC Macs or through Parallels or VMware Fusion on Intel Macs. You can also make a dual boot Windows setup on your Intel Macintosh using Boot Camp if you're running Leopard.
