Address Book

Using OS 10.4.11.
What am I doing?: Backing up Address Book to Zip disk.
How: With “SpotLight” I find “AddressBook.data.”
I click on it. It shows up on desk top as a white blank
page labeled “AddressBook.data.”
I drag and drop it to Zip disk icon.
I open Zip disk. “AddressBook.data” is properly listed
there.
I go to the dock to check my Address Book.
I click on “ALL.”
Only 2 addresses of 60 or 70 remain.
I assume the missing are in “AddressBook.data.”
How do I return the data (the missing addresses) to
the Address Book...?
(Note: Now when I click on the “AddressBook.data” icon
-- the white blank page icon -- I get a “choose application”
message. Why?)

Hi and welcome to macosx;com forums

read this Apple page: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301239
to know how to backup Apple's application data

In your case, under the ADB's File menu, you have a Backup/restore items to do the job

Regards
Phil
