| Adobe reader quit I'm on an intel powerbook with Mac OSX 10.5.2. Every time I'm trying to read a .pdf file, acrobat reader immediately quits.I try with the last version of Adobe (8.1.2), I set Disk utilities: same result. Is somebody knowing this bug? |

| Have you tried removing and reinstalling your Adobe Reader installation?

| I'm having the same problem. That's why I registered here today, to hopefully find someone that knew what was happening with Adobe Reader 8.1. Using OS 10.4.11 (for a long time) with no problems. Just did software update from Apple + downloaded new Acrobat (I thought) but it was Adobe Reader 8.1. Immediately after install when I clicked on "read more" within the just installed (then rebooted) program, it held for about 10 seconds, then quit. Decided to forget reading more, went online and happily surfing, (Version 3.1 (4525.13).untill I came to a .pdf file. Clicked ... and got it for about 10 seconds, and it crashed Safari. No crash message, no crash showing in log... Tried this about 4 or 5 times....deleted everything (down to the plist) including using the 'uninstall' that supposedly worked. Nothing. So here I am. Everything is now opening in Preview (my choice), but no Adobe Reader until this bug gets fixed. Anyone else ??? |
