| itunes heelp! hi ive just started using itunes, but im having trouble with the fact that when i drag or save music into it, it copies it twice, so im having to go through and delete everything ive been through all the settings, and cant see any way of solving this - can any of you experts help me out please?!! thanks sam |

| Do you mean that if you drag one song into the iTunes window it's there twice afterwards or do you simply mean that it _copies_ the song instead of moving it? What do you mean by "saving into it"?

| In iTunes go to preferences, click on the Advanced tab, and then below click general. Then uncheck the check box that says "Copy songs to iTunes music folder when adding to library. |

| thanks for coming back to me guys to clarify when i said "copies the song" i actually mean duplicate the song in the itunes window it appears twice (although only once in the itunes library on my hard disk) i just tried unchecking the "copy files to itunes music folder when adding to library" which stops duplicating the file, but now it doesnt copy and save the song into the correct itunes music folder location (which in this case is an exernal hard drive) Last edited by sammybthfc; May 14th, 2008 at 01:33 AM. |
