| iCHat install Greyed out I cannot install iCHat because this is greyed out Applecare's suggestions failed and I got tired of waiting on hold for the next level apple tech. My OS is the latest and greatest 10.5.2 on a MBP Any and all help appreciated  |

| Where are you trying to install iChat from .... an iLife disc? Do you have iLife ('06 or '08) installed on your MBP? Just trying to garner the necessary info to take this further .... If iChat is already installed, is it showing in your Applications folder but is greyed out? |

| I am trying to install from the OS disk's and iLife is not installed. Also iChat is not in the applications folder |

| My bad, got mixed up with the iLife suite of apps, thinking iChat was one of them .... Download Pacifist and use it to extract iChat from your install disc. Is that the advice Apple gave you that failed? *EDIT* I just found this link |

| Thank you I did and now have iChat installed , now onto video chatting and movie making |
