| Macbook Pro hanging I have had occasional hangs with my system running Leopard 10.5.4 (and 10.5.3 before that). I have a MBP from March 2007 with 2 gigs of memory (1 module from Apple, 1 from OWC). I had serious problems back in June which resulted in the drive being replaced and my doing a totally fresh install. Since then I've had periodic hangs, and I decided to make a note of what's happening 7/6 - simply hung after about 45 minutes of not being used. Rebooted fine. 7/9 - locked up while screensaver was on - Turned off screensaver. 7/16 - locked up while inactive for about an hour. Screen dimmed a bit but continued to show desktop. Had to reboot. 7/18 - locked up while inactive overnight. Screen dimmed a bit as 7/16. Had to reboot. Any ideas? |

| Have you tested that extra RAM? I ask because the symptoms sound like RAM going bad. To test RAM use Rember.
