Angry InDesign and NAV Version 9.0

hey all -

has anyone seen an issue where you've got norton antivirus (version 9.0) installed on a mac w/ OS X (version 10.2.6) and you try to open an illustrator eps in indesign and get a blank graphic?

also having issues creating a pdf in distiller from a ps file.

here's my current workaround, turning off norton autoprotect, but that's not gonna fly in the long run as i've got about 1,000 mac users who are not going to want to do this everytime they need to import a graphic/use distiller.

anyone figured out a way around this cos symantec's suggestion is to turn off autoprotect. my question then is why have NAV at all?

thanks!

My suggestion is to uninstall Norton altogether. You have absolutely nothing to worry about in regards to getting a virus.

This is a known issue with InDesign; check out the ID forum at http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?14@@.ee6b330 where it's a sticky thread.

Thanks for the info - unfortunately my company just bought a MONSTER license for NAV for all 700 of our macs so I think we are stuck with it now. I've got tech calls in to Symantec, so hopefully I'll get some kind of answer and I'll let you all know what I hear (if anything)
