Toast 6 VCDs and Audio Drift

I have been trying to burn a VCD using .mpg files downloaded through Bittorrent.

The episodes are 45mins long, in NTSC format, but the audio is drifting out of sync during the encoding process. The original .mpg files are fine - no audio drift.

Any ideas as to what is happening? There don't seem to be any settings in Toast to adjust.
