| G5 disk utilities I have just bought some new G5's and foolishly have realized that of my disk utilities are working with this. (Disk Warrior, Norton) I cannot boot from those CD's, because of the "special" version of Jaguar that G5's use. Anyone else running into this problem? Ideas? Thanks for your help, Russ |

| Get the newest version of DiskWarrior and it will boot fine. I wouldn't use Norton's on OS X again. Do some searching, it's cause a lot of people problems, and Symantec admits it's not completely compatible. With the built in maintanence and DW, that's about all you need. Get Cocktail from http://www.versiontracker.com and use that for various things. clecn cache, run routines, etc.

| Reply from Alsoft Thanks for the reply. I just spoke to Alsoft Tech Support and they said the current CD's will not boot G5's. But they will release a CD within 1-2 weeks that will boot G5. Registered users will be able to get a CD for a nominal fee (guy mentioned $12.95 or something). Cocktail is great! Thanks, Russ |
