s_kalb is on a distinguished road
Unhappy some apps simply won't open !?

and I'm not trying to open a .exe file, it's a 'pure Mac OS X' app

this happened more than once.

for example, GL Tron, a futuristic bike Game: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/games/gltron.html

when I double-click, nothing happens, not even an icon in the dock, nothing, njett.

and I checked the version, there's noted "10.1 or above", and I have 10.2.8, damn!
(but the OS 9 version of this game works fine)

anyone already got same kind of problem?

PS: this "I won't open"-thing never happened with Mac OS X pre-installed software (even if they originally came from my 10.2.3 CD)

SK.

Well, it worked on my old machine.

This is just a guess, but I think it's they way Stuffit is decompressing the program on your computer. Try to reinstall Stuffit and then try to download the program again.

Cheryl will become famous soon enough
Or.... you might have to repair permissions. Click on the icon once. go to the file menu>Get info. click on ownership and permissions. If the lock icon is locked, click on it to unlock it. You will need your password. Now make sure you are the owner. Change it by the pull down menu. When done, you should be able to start it.
