Visio is now a Microsoft product. What sort of drawings do you want to do?

I use OmniGraffle Professional. It reads and writes in the Visio format and seems to work well. I discovered it when I needed Visio for a Grad School project. It did just as it said it would and I got no complaints that it failed to open on a PC.

Check out OmniGraffle and OmniGraffle Pro:

In particular, look at the "Extras" packages - there's one with circuitry symbols.
