Alternative to Toast?

I'm looking for an alternative to the Toast CD burning app. Toast 5.2.1 on my system has been giving me buffer underrun problems, and Roxio is making it a pain to upgrade.

The replacement app I'm looking for needs to have at least three attributes:

- runs under OS X

- does CD copying at a good rate of speed

- works with USB/Firewire/SCSI CD burners

Perhaps some shareware CD burning version of VueScan perhaps?

Firestarter looks like a good suggestion, I'll try it. Any others?

And yes, I know VueScan is for scanners, I just mentioned it as a shareware application, to illustrate that I preferred a shareware CD burning app.

Ah, as in Vuescan is to scanners as what you are looking for is to burners... cool. I think you'll like Firestarter, I hear it does wonderful things. (Sorry... somewhat of an inside joke. )

I use Disk Utility for direct copying of CDs in 10.3, and FireStarter FX for most other things. It is pretty good, allows some overburning etc.I wish it would support burning to DVDs as well. (So, DVDs are burned now with Disk Utility)
