Change iChat name?

I'm sure there's a thread on this somewhere but I couldn't find it.

I entered my name incorrectly the first time I set up iChat, and now I can't figure out how to change it. I can't even find the string in any of iChat's plists.

Is there any way to change my display name (not my username); I use an AIM account if that makes any difference.

if you have your contact in your address book, you will see your address book data on your "name".

if you need to change the account, open ichat, and go to preferences, you can there change the user account, e.g. log in as a different user.

what your name is your address book does not show to the others. they will see only your username, whateveryouhave@mac.com, or aimhandle, not name. unless it is in their own address book.
