Problem with Toast Titanium Mdnsresponder

For some reason when I try to run Toast Titanium 6 on my Mac with OSX 10.2.8 I get an error -72000. I'm told that I must have MdnsResponder loaded in the activity monitor. It's not there. Is there way I can get it into the activity monitor?Doe anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Hi Greg and welcome to the forum.
Try to trash the com.roxio.Toast.plist file in your home/Library/Preferences folder. Let's see if that helped. If not, then try to repair your permissions as long as no error is reported anymore

I tried that no luck I've been told that mDSNresponder must be in my activity monitor. It's not. I'm told it is a Rendevous problem. Yet nobody has told me what to do. Any thoughts? Thanks

Greg

Try this;

/Applications/Utilities/Directory Services (Directory Access) --> authenticate by clicking on the lock --> Check "Rendezvous".

Hi Bob, Rendevous was already checked there. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

Is it possible to burn CD over the finder or Disk Utility or even itunes?
Do you have the most recent Toast update?

Is mDNSResponder in your /System/Library/StartupItems folder? If yes, then you should be able to see mDNSResponder in your activity monitor after restarting your system.
Zammy-Sam has a good idea here, any disk burning could require that same mDNSResponder. Can you burn a disk from the Finder or one of the other Mac apps that provide burning?
