| G3 Beige and Firewire Hi Guys, As the Newbie with the stupid question anybody got an answer? I have a G3 Beige + Sonnet G4 500MHz processor + ATI Radeon 7000 graphics card + 80G hard drive + 512 MB memory + USB card + Firewire card running OS 10.2.8 My problem is when I try to burn CD from iTunes or with Toast 6 Titanium. When I switch on my Lacie burner both iTunes and Toast say that there is nothing present, but if I remove the firewire cable and then replace it we are all systems go!! Any ideas why, do I need a utility to run this combo?? Help, its doin' me head in!!! Cheers, Keef. |

| That's a good work-around that you have discovered! Just plug in the burner when you get ready to use it. Works for me, too! Likely your firewire card is not the most reliable in the world, and plugging in the firewire cable 'shocks' the card to be able to send a burn...
