Syncing address book with my own server

It looks like iSync can sync your address book to your .mac account and so multiple machines can be synced by all going to .mac

Problem is that .mac costs $100 per year.

I have a nice beefy server that already has a copy of my address book. Is it possible to get my laptop to sync its address book up to the address book on my server? I guess my real question is, has anyone actually done it?
