Record a sound while playing it?

I'd like to turn the OSX voice (Fred) into sound files. On my PC I can open up a sound editor, hit record, and then record to file whatever's playing at the time, whether it's through a browser, another soundfile, etc. Is there any way to do that on a Mac?

Check out WireTap too. It's free and really simple to use.

I tried one program... I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but it didn't seem to pick up on the voice talking as being recordable. I'll try one of those other programs though, thanks.

(EDIT-) Excellent! WireTap does exactly want I wanted to. Gratze.
