| I found THIS . The article applies to Office V.x but may work with Office 2004 also. Is this just a bogus error that is not affecting anything? Or are you having other problems as well?

| Also, I had similar problem with Office X in the past. It turned out to be a DIVX codec in my Quicktime Plugins that Office X did not like. Once I upgraded the DVX codec Office ran fine again. I am not sure though that this information will help. Good Luck.

| Aha! (One instance where the user found a permissions problem _before_ someone asked him/her to repair permissions...) ;-)

Before OSX, i kinda understood what was going on, now i'm sitting here with a Mac Pro Xeon, astounded that I can run windows crap, but still don't understand all this "library" "prefs" blah blah stuff. thanks for your help! |

| Go to your Application Folder -> Utilities -> Disk Utility. That program should present you with a list of disc drives on the left. Click the one you want to repair, and then click the repair permissions button on the bottom of the page. |
