Safari - can't open secure pages

The error I get is "cannot open a secure connection with ........ server" And it happens to all secure pages. I've reset my browser, erased the cache, etc. I can't think of anything else - I've repaired permissions, everything.
Anyone?
It used to work fine but not anymore.

I opened keychain access and my keychain seems to be erased. Maybe that's why Mail asks me to reenter my password each time I run it. How could this have happened?

Haven't rebooted in over a week but that seemed to fix it for some reason.
Very strange - but I'm not complaining!
