impossible to load microsoft office shared libraries

Hi,
I got an eMac with MacOSX 10.2.8,
I installed Microsoft Office 2004 Test Drive
but when I try to open any application such as Word or Excel
I got the error "impossible to load microsoft office shared libraries"
and the program quit.
Any suggestions?
thanks in advance

DeltaMac will become famous soon enough
Purchase Office 2004, trash the Test Drive folder, and then install Office 2004. The Test Drive is limited use. You can't print, and probably some libraries won't load (perhaps not even included with the Test Drive) If you already know you will be using Office software, then delete that Test Drive completely.

Thank you for your attention,

but, you know, it's a strange thing,
I'd like to test it before buying
and even if limited, I'd like to use it, once at least!

I got that error on the load, so I can't use it
at all, because after that error the program quits...

It's a "Test Drive", that should work for a month,
but I can't use it not even once.

On the Microsoft website,
they say that when this error occur,
there's a problem with Carbon Lib.

How can I test that they're working good?

Thank you again

I have run into this problem with Microsoft Office before. In fact, I usually end up reinstalling Office every six to nine months to "fix" that specific error message. You would have to use Pacifist and search the Software Restore CD's/DVD that came with your Mac to reinstall the test drive.

The Carbon Lib error is specific in naming the Carbon Lib in the error message itself. That is generally cleared up by using Disk Utility to repair permissions.
