Tiger Server & Automator

Hi,
first of all a quick "hello" to everyone, cause i just signe up !

Ok - i have a question regarding the combination of Mac OSX Tiger Server and Automator. Im aware that there can be no final answer to any question related to appz that haven even reached "golden master" state and are still in developement.

When i look at the features of Automator on the Website i can see its scriptable - great. One thing about this is would particularly interesting.

Can anyone think of the following situation ?
Tiger Server receiving a query from a web interface which is send to automator? This could be e.g. uploading an image and selecting an action from the web interface and automator then manipulating the image, storing the result on the webserver and sending an email to the web-user with the destination of the final archive.

Im amazed with the features that are provided with automator - but can one judge over the possibility of any exchange with web-driven services ?

Ive looked at other web driven services like Image-Magic etc. - but its way to slow to manipulate larger images.

Maybe some of you thought of something similar and would like to share their resources on any information regarding the combination of OSX Server and Automator.

thanks a lot
tdmf

im thinking that automator would just be using CoreImage functions to do that stuff. why not find out the syntax for the CoreImage command and run it from a perl/php/jsp/etc script?
