| Help Me Stop Those Office 2004 Voices It's gotta be a simple solution but I'll be damned if I can figure it out. I'm talking about the little error voices that happen in Office 2004 programs, like the 'oops' when I type an incorrectly spelled word or 'grammar error' when I improperly construct a sentence. It might be a guy thing; I'm constantly looking for things that are right in front of me, so go ahead: gloat if you like over how easy it is to stop those annoying voices as long as you tell me how to do it. Thanks, -Mike |

| Open the MS Office 2004 folder>Office> Double click the Microsoft Office Notifications Under the Office Notifications Menu, you can turn sounds off.

| Thanks Bob. The odd thing is that Office Notifications are turned on but sounds have been turned off. One other thing: Preferences (underneath 'Turn On/Off sounds") is greyed out. Perhaps I need to trash the existing Office Notifications and start anew? Whadya think? |

| Preferences in mine are also greyed out. Try turning both off.

| Thanks again, Bob. Well… Notifications and Sounds are both turned off. But… went into word and typed 'ssn <space>' to check. And the voices says 'oops' Arrggghhh. Is Bill Gates getting back at me because I dumped my Microsoft stock? |
