Internet Connect for a LG Vx4500

I am trying to set up internet connect to successfully dial in to Verizon’s data number using my Verizon LG VX4500. I have a usb cable for the phone and have installed a driver so internet connect successfully detects it. I have tried to setup everything from that point to what I think it should be set at but I haven’t been able to even get the phone to attempt to dial in, let alone worry about the correct login name etc. I have a powerbook G4 Al running OS 10.3.8. If anyone can supply some insight for this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.
