| Investigate Chicken of the VNC. I haven't used it myself but a friend of mine was talking to me today and mentioned that he uses it. Alternative there is MS Remote Desktop Client (if you want to go Mac --> PC). And finally there is Apple Remote Desktop but this costs money... |

| Chicken of the VNC uses the VNC protocol, while MS Remote Desktop for the Mac uses the RDP protocol. Very different, but both allow you to control a computer remotely. The latter is only if you want to access a Windows Terminal Server, Windows 2000/2003 Server, or Windows XP Professional computer remotely. VNC is available for various platforms.

| Yes, use OSXvnc Server on the Mac (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/16699) and use your favorite VNC client on the Windows machine to connect. If you don't know of any VNC clients for the Windows machine, plenty can be found with a simple search on versiontracker.com. Just look for a highly-rated client and it should work.
