No more Internet Connection with PPPoE

ok, this is one of my current 2 horrible mac nightmares:

since i've tried to put a freecom fsg-3 nas to our network, i couldn't establish any internet connection.
i get an error that the ppp kernel extension couldn't be found?!
then i've reinstalled first tiger and then panther but with both of them i still get no connection.

the strange thing is, that with my attached firewire hd with a mrd 3.9 system i'll have no probs with the connection!
with the newly installed tiger system on the internal hd i couldn't get a connection via wlan (dwl-122 usb stick), directly connected over the dsl-modem and a no go with cable connection to the netgear wlan router too!

here's the protocol from internet connect app:

any help would be appreciated cause i'm out of my knowledge and don't wanna give my holy machine anway...

i've tried everything and the only difference between these 2 systems is, that the working one is on an external firewire hd and the other, non-working is on the internatl s-ata hd but for me it doesn't make any sence, that the s-ata hd could be the bad guy. btw smart testing says everythings ok with the drive.

thx alot

I think you need to elaborate a little more about what your network is. Do you have a router? If so, no computer should be set up to authenticate via PPPoE (the router does that).
