| Remote Desktop Hi Guys. Some freak info about me comprised on this thread, please do not laugh. Thing is I am a Karaoke fan. I just haven't found good Mac software for this (Dooohhh!!) and so I came up with a solution: I use Remote Desktop in my PowerBook G4 to remotely acces and run the Karaoke Software in mi desktop PC. Everything runs fine through Remote Desktop. I can even open and play MP3 or DIVX files and view them in my PB G4. Sounds perfect. But once I open Midi files, the sound just won't play. The sound from the Midi file running on the PC won't play on the PB. Any ideas? Guess it has to do with the Midi controller in my PB, but just can't figure out precisely what... Thanks! |

| Does any other sound coming from the PC play on your PB?

| Yes. As I mentioned in the Post, any other sound does come through: Mp3, MPEGs, etc. Only MIDIs don't sounds over th PB. |

| I would guess that midi files are handled differently - the audio is actually rendered by the audio card of the local machine. It's possible that Remote Desktop just can't pass that audio through it's interface.
