Dreamweaver MX - positional problems!

Hi All

I am working on a website at the mo where I have a series of polygonal rollover buttons - they need to butt up against eachother.....and I cant figure out how to do it!

when I preview in browser - there is a white space between each button (as per attached screen grab)

how can I get rid of this white space?!! do I need to alter the CSS style for a particular function?

I have a friend who is suggesting I do the whole thing in flash but the flash aspect of the rollover buttons I need is so strightforward within dreamweaver....I dont really wanna be dealing with 2 programs when the functionality I need is so simple! hope that makes sense.

this is merely a positional problem I am having - nothing more!

many thanks in advance for any help.

cheers
Bexford

As far as I know, there is no such thing as a polygonal image other than a rectangle -- so, in essence, you've got "tilted" pictures inside of a rectangle, where the remaining space is filled with white (or transparent). I would suggest making the entire series of objects one, big image.

Yup, just make it one image then use an imagemap for the link portion. If you want rollovers, you can use a modification of the sliding doors technique to do so (one big image that is repositioned depending on its state).
