| Viewing videos from the web I have a Mac Mini, my first Mac experience. I assumed I'd be able to click on videos in internet sites and view them as I did on my PC but so far no. I've downloaded QuickTime Player and still can't open a video a friend referred me to. When I click on the still from the video, a popup tells me to choose an application, but it won't let me choose quick time. Help!!! Jean |

| What kind of video is it, i.e., what's its extension (.mov, .wmv)? You'll probably want to get the free flip4mac player at http://www.flip4mac.com/ It allows Quicktime to play various Windows Media, without installing Microsoft Windows Media Player for Mac (which MS may not even distribute any more). Flip4mac now includes a plugin for Safari _and_ Firefox, so you'll be able to view Windows Media in those browsers. Yeah! |
