| Editing midi karaoke files With Mac, how do you edit and create midi karaoke files? I have Karakan for Windows, but have been unable to find anything like that for Macintosh. Are there any midi editors/creators for Mac similar to Anvil Studio for Windows? Since I have found that DosBox works fine on my system, even DOS-based programs would do. |

| Thanks for your help. Perhaps I should have mentioned that I have an Intel Mac. Anything written earlier than this year probably won't run. What I am after is something that I can use to put lyrics and midi files together to make one file. I have QMidi, which can play the karaoke files. Some application that runs on an Intel Mac that enables me to plug in sheet music to make new midi files would be nice as well. Last edited by Curiosity; September 14th, 2006 at 02:38 PM. | Well if you click on the "Release Date" on the VersionTracker search page you will notice the first four links are for Universal binaries releases. The first application kTunes is Universal and also has a Compare features page.

| I have now been searching for some considerable time for a program that will actually allow me to make karaoke graphics on a Mac. Versiontracker lists the same old few and then the only one that comes close is iStar composer, and that's so long as you have karaoke tracks (without the lyrics being sung), and you are prepared to accept seeing a complete line, no sweeping of a colour across the words as and when they should be being sung in accompiment. I am a amatuer singer (not karaoke player), who has seen an opportunity to learn songs quickly and in fact offer my audience me singing up to date tracks by my reading them off the screen (karaoke style). So is there a program for Mac that wil actually permit me to manufacture the graphics? |
