| Formac ProTV & Linux,Unix or X11....and Ricoh I have a Formac ProTV PCI card....which doesnt work in OS X. Formac says they are considering the "feasibility" of making a driver for mac os x... but i dont think this will even happen.....they are "considering" for months now. So i was wondering was anyone able to get their Formac ProTV PCI card working in a Linux, Unix or X11 app ? Is it even possible ? any help great appreciated. oh...and speaking of unsupported hardware.....i also have a Ricoh RDC 5300 camera (which will never be supported in OS X according to Ricoh). So has anyone been able to get their Ricoh RDC 5300 camera working in a Linux, Unix or X11 app ? |

| Well...yes and no. I had my PROTV PCI card working in Linux (albiet not very well), but it requires kernel modules to do so. Which haven't been made into kernel extensions for OSX. I believe that somebody at sourceforge is working on this, you might want to try a search there for BTTV.

| The program won't work on its own, you'll still need to find drivers. BTV is just an app to watch a feed from a video source.
