I have a power point slide show created in my PBG4 which is in my office. I have connected the PBG4 to a monitor in the lobby - and it works fine.

What I'm not able to do is to play the PPT slide show on the lobby monitor while still using the PBG4 in my office for other tasks.

I have tried dragging the window of the PPT presentation in edit view over to the lobby monitor before I start the show in the hopes that it would expand and take up the lobby monitor, but it's not working. When I "start the slide show" it instantly takes up my entire PBG4 screen.

If I need to abandon the PPT slide show and create this in another program that will allow me to move the slide show to the lobby monitor and still use the PBG4 in my office I will gladly to that.

Seems like there ought to be an easy answer to this, but I'm not finding it!

thanks,
bhoward

Hello Brenda,

According to my sources, you are supposed to be able to do this with PowerPoint. Here are the instructions that I found.

1. On the Slide Show menu, click Set Up Show.
2. In the Set Up Show dialog box, click Screen, and then click the monitor you want the slide show to appear on.

On the other hand, it may be that you need to set up your monitors correctly in system preferences. Go into system preferences and under hardware, choose "displays". If you have the external monitor hooked up, there should be a setting that deals with whether you want the external to mirror the main display of the PBG4 or rather be an extension. That is the one you want.

For other program ideas, you may want to consider Apple's iWork '08 that has Keynote. In keynote, I know for a fact that you can set up this mode as I have used it myself.

I hope this helps you out. Let me know how it turns out.

Good luck!
