TICKET ARCHIVE -> 60gb Ipod And Isync Problem

iSync v.2.0 Tiger 10.4.1 - iMac flat panel 17" - .Mac account.
I cannot add my new iPod to the list of devices that I can use for syncing. The iPod mounts on the desktop and there is no trouble with other functions, but each time I open iSync and try to add a device, it scans and the alert is "No device found". Synching with my Pismo from the iMac gives no trouble. I have installed the latest iPod updater. Imac permissions checked OK.
Can you please help?

iPod syncing no longer takes place in iSync. Use iTunes instead.
