Hi all,
I just discovered that I can use Address Book to print labels (for sticking on letters). However, there is one problem. If I already used one half of a sheet of labels, how do I tell the app to start printing addresses not at the top of the sheet, but halfway down. Is there an easy solution to this? (Instead of throwing away the sheet of labels, or moving them to the top of the sheet manually..._
Thanks, dl33

Is it possible to simply turn the label sheet upside-down, so the unused labels are at the top? That might not work if the label placement is not symmetrical.

Hope this helps...

yes that would work once... but then you still have the same problem...
Also adresses would print on empty spaces...., which would then have to be reprinted etc... etc
Thanks for the idea though,

dl33 - I'm also not sure what Luc is referring to. You have already discovered that you can print to Avery standard label sheets through the Print command. Maybe if Luc looks back here, he will see that he was incorrect, and Apple has already fixed. (well, more or less fixed)

What do you mean by more or less fixed? There is no way to move labels down or across, if you already started usinp/printing on that particular sheet of labels earlier. Luc mentioned a third party app; is there something around that could do the job? Personally I didn't find anything yet, but...
Thanks, dl33

I used the phrase 'more or less fixed', because the solution is not yet perfect for you.
You may be able to use one of the 'specialist' label printing apps, such as Discus, or Intex labels. Search for 'print labels' at Versiontracker.com - You will get a list of a dozen or so. The Print Shop for OS X does a great job of printing labels. So, there's a large number of choices. I don't know if ANY will use the remainder of a partial label sheet, other than manually setting the label position. That would be one of the disadvantages of a blank label sheet - there will often be wasted blanks.
Hope this helps you...
