Is there a simple way to copy selected addresses from my Mac Mail address book into the address book used by .Mac?
I would like to be able to send email while on trips and using friends' computers (Usually Windows-based) without carrying along a paper address book.

Thanks.....billyboy

Dear William,

My name is Vinko and I will attempt to assist you.

Fortunately, Apple had the same idea when they created the .Mac service.

If you go into Apple's Address Book application's Preferences, and then in the "General" pane. You will find a checkbox named rightfully:

"Synchronize my contacts with other computers using .Mac"

If you had not already done so, it will ask you to enter your .Mac credentials by bringing you to the .Mac Preferences on your Mac, which is also another way to specify what information on your Mac you like to have synced with your .Mac account.

Note that you can also synchronize your Calendars and Safari Bookmarks to make them available when you are away from your Mac.

Best of all it is also a great way to keep a back up of these information plus the "Accounts" and "Rules" within your Mail application.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

-- Vinko

Thank you for using MacOSX.Com's free Mac support.
