I recently loaded Nikon PictureProject software onto my G4 Powerbook and ever since I get the following message whenever I attempt to launch any of my Adobe Apps:

The application "Illustrator" could not be launched because a shared library error. ".CFMPriv_SpeechSynthesis><>"

The Mac is 1.5GHz running 10.4.9.

I tried to reload PhotoShop and got the same type of message, anyone have any ideas what I need to do?

Not exactly sure, but have a few ideas:

repair permissions: apps/utilities/disk utility/repair permissions

trash your adobe cs preferences (look up 'illustrator', 'photoshop', etc. and move .plist and .pref files you find to the trash but don't delete till you can restart your apps)

Upload latest app updates when you get them running

Go to System Preferences/Universal Access and turn off Text to Speech

Do these in order and let me know if your problem resolves.

I tried all of the options that you suggested, but still no luck. I vaguely remember seeing something about this at one time, where the solution indicated moving and /or replacing files in the shared library folder, but have not been able to find the answer anywhere.
