Another user, someone I'm helping, is having a similar issue with her HP printer. No answer yet. We've tried posting to adobe.com/forums but no definitive answer yet.
Have you tried deleting your printer in Print Center, re-Adding it and restarting? Do it in that order and try to print.

Tiger incompatibilities page here:
http://www.macintouch.com/tigerrevie...atibility.html
Quite a few references to missing drivers (many printer companies are slow to update their drivers to new OS X systems).
Try also downloading new drivers for all the printers you print to and loading them. If they aren't on the vendor's web page, you may have to wait till they put out a new driver.
Can you 'Save to PDF' from TextEdit by any chance?

Have replaced all drivers. I have both the 6 and 7 PPDs at work for Acrobat and the Acrobat PDF 7.0 print driver shows up just fine in my printer list. Can't get it to show in my home system. It may be because I don't have ADPDF6.PPD in all the same folders. My HP 4000 driver shows up fine. My Canon i9900 driver shows up fine. Just no ''Adobe PDF 7.0'' I am running Tiger 10.4.9 both at home and at work.

Have you tried using the 'Save as PDF' feature when printing rather than the Adobe PDF ppd? It's the same thing, and it's been integrated with OS X for some time.
If you have certain settings for your pdfs, your app can also replace this acrobat ppd. Could you describe your workflow for me so I can get a better idea of how to help? I'm a graphic and web designer myself...
