i was wondering, is it possible to use the Windows version of AIM on a macintosh computer?

Except if you instal the Microsoft VirtualPC software which emulates a PC on your Mac - and then install the AIM Windows package within this emulator-, Windows based executables cannot be played on Mac platforms.

But there is a Mac version of AIM client

which perhaps do not have all the possibilities the Windows have..but which is compiled to run fine on Macs.

Thank you very much. I was just wondering because when I type an away message on aim but I want to change the second letter, say, of the message so that it is the same font and size but a different color then the rest, then all of the letters along with the one whose color I changed turn into times new roman size 12 in the color that I changed the second letter of the away message to. This problem shows up on PCs, while I think that on other macs the away message shows up how I want it to. The same problem occurs when I do this in my profile. I was wondering if there is any reason that this is happening or if there is anything I can do about because it is really limiting my creative ability on AIM.

Emmie, I only answer your question about running Windows stuff on Mac.
IU never use AIM: for messenger, I use Adium -I do not like big gaz plant as MicrosoftMessenger or AIM)
So I'm not able to discuss your particular problem of messages issues
