Hi I was wondering if there is anyway to use my airport express with external speakers for all my sound needs not just for itunes.
at the moment I use
X modem Adsl (modem)
Airport Extreme for Wireless and wired routing connected to
Mac Book pro Wired Connection (most of the time)
Sony Viao Z1RSP Laptop (wired)
with a xerox phaser8650 Printer
Maxtor USB Hard drive (USB)

Airport Express (wireless)
Bose Companion 2 Speakers
HP D135 Deskjet Printer

Short answer: YES!

Longer answer: Yes, but sound will lag. iTunes streams music to the Airport Express, so playing live sounds (ie system sounds) would actually happen much later than usual. It's very possible though.
