Hi guys,
Just wondering how you can turn off the really annoying music or amend it to play something out of my itunes.
Also what would you reccomend as the best program to down-load to enable listening to copy-protected cd's in itunes and also what the best down-load would be to enable me to back-up my dvd's.
Thanks a heap in advance from a new convert to mac's.
cheers hm
btw I have 15in Powerbook - 1.5ghz 512mb running 10.3
If you open Help from iPhoto, and type in 'change music settings' or something like that, you will quickly see how change the music, or turn it off. Version 5 of iPhoto, which comes with iLife '05, or may have shipped with your Mac if you purchased it recently, has many options to use the music you want to use, including easily working with iTunes.
If a CD is truly copy-protected, then iTunes is not going to help you much. you may be able to download some other type of music playing software, and change the system settings so that software launches when you insert a music CD.
search for 'copy dvd' at versiontracker.com - you'll see at least 6 different apps. Toast is very good commercial software. DVDBackup can do some things. MacTheRipper is designed to help make working copies of DVD movies. Keep in mind that this site will not allow support for copying copy-protected disks, other than very general info.
Good Luck!
