Why is the apostrophes missing when I print a document? They views fine on the screen.
The only way to rectify this issue is to reboot the computer.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

Hi, welcome to tech support.
The only thing I can think of is to check your font by using the Font Book application, it could be corrupted.

Hi Chuck,
This happens to many different font families so I hope that isn't the problem. I did validate all fonts in font book. There were a few fonts that had minor problems, but they were not the fonts that I have had issues with in the past.

Hum, that is strange.
You mentioned in your initial question that rebooting fixes the problem, so do apostrophes then print only for a short time after rebooting? Does this happen in all fonts or just some?

Yes, the apostrophes print for awhile (maybe a few days).
I don't think it is all the fonts but definitely times, helv and kabel, just to name a few.

Have you tried all the usual fixes such as Repairing Permissions and Disk Repair? If you have then that is my last resort to your problem and I will put you back in the pool to see if someone else has a solution.

Hi Chuck,
Yes I have. This has been an ongoing issue for awhile so I did try that which also seemed to work temporarily like the reboot did.
I appreciate your efforts.
Thank you.

Yes, it’s fine if you close this unless someone else out there has a fix for it!
