Description:
I currently added three G-3 computers to my network. When I log on and pick a restricted workgroup the computer reverts back to the at Ease log on screen. I have tryed reloading the software, created a dummy workgroup with only one application in it, neither of which worked. These three computers are operating with 8.1 the rest of the network is 7.6.1 on mostly 5400's. If I log in and go to an unrestricted workgroup it works fine. Our System is an Appletalk/ethernet system.

Go to the Apple menu and select Chooser and under AppleTalk select Inactive. Then, close chooser. Restart the computer. When it asks if you are a guest or a registered user, click on guest. This will prevent you from logging on. Make sure Appleshare is installed in the System Folder. Then, go back to the Chooser and select AppleShare. Click on your file server. Then, restart your computer.
