When I launch Onyx for maintenance and/or cleaning I often get this message " AppleScriptError" and underneath that it continues with " NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError:4 (1) which sometimes interferes with the procedure and sometimes seems not to. Right now at this moment it is stuck on "saving preferences" so when it does this I have to shut down the computer. Does anyone know what this message means, etc ?
Thanx to all

Are you using the most up to date version of Onyx? You don't specify the version of OS 10 you're using either. The message basically means that those who coded Onyx either a) made an error in writing an Applescript or b) Applescript was changed with a version of OS !0.x released after the version of Onyx you were using was released. The developers of Onyx are very responsive and you could email them, but first I'd download the latest version of Onyx and see if you still get that Applescript error message. HTH.

Thanx HTH for the quick reply. I'm running OS X 10.3.9 with the latest version of Onyx that I can find, which was not up to 10.3.9 if I remember correctly, so, giving Onyx a ring seems to be the ticket. Thanx again!
