Description:
I have just switched my connection from appletalk to ethernet. I have a HP DeskwriterC, and an old SE 30 hooked to my PowerMac through the modem port. Every time I want to connect to either of these I have to switch my appletalk connection from to thus disabling my connection to the rest of the LAN.

This is not serious, but it is time consuming. I am wondering if there is an appletalk bridge that would allow me to be connected to the LAN, and yet still 'see' devices hooked up to my other ports.

Seth,
Yes, there are third party products that do this. Also there are rumors that Apple will be releasing their AppleTalk bridge software for free download (soon). This was in today's MacOSRumors . So if you can wait you might get it for free.

If you can't wait there are a few bridge type products in MacWarehouse (and other's) catalogs. You could either get a software bridge or hardware bridge and it would work for you. Farallon (Netopia) makes one that supports 3-5 localtalk connections to ethernet.

Thanks for using NoWonder.
