Hi there!
I'm a very new Mac user and recently I bought a tiny iBook4 that it's really amazing!
The most positive surprise to me has been to find a program like GARAGE BAND ALREADY INSTALLED on the Computer!!
Beeing an amatorial musician I really appreciated a lot. The only thing I still don't understand is that this machine, differently by any Windows running PC I ever used before, has an audio output (headset) but NOT AN AUDIO INPUT. So my question is simply that : how can I connect my iBook4 audio card to an external instrument or microphone? Is really possible to do it through an USB port? Sorry but on Windows I never had this kind of problem because I never saw a PC without a Audio input.....
Thanks a lot in advance for any help.
Best regards
It's likely an issue of usability. The iBook is marketed to low-end users, many of whom (unlike you) are terribly confused by the presence of two or more identical audio ports. I've seen it happen, and it drives most new PC users crazy.
Get an iMic (

Hope that helps.
